Giveaway Alert (International): Sultry Summer Nights ~ Day Two

This contest has ended.  The winner will be announced shortly.  Thank you!

Anchor and Storm
By Kate Poole
Genre: Erotic Historical Romance
Book Type: Trade Paperback

Ellora's Cave Blurb:
"Edgar Armstrong, Earl of Callander, had not given much thought to marrying and producing an heir…until he meets Emily Sinclair. When their easy companionship grows into love, they learn that Edgar's progressively debilitating disease could be passed on to his children. As their joy turns to despair Edgar finds a solution. If he can't get her with child he knows just the man who can. But will Emily agree to his plan?

Angus MacNeill, Lord Callander's groom, thinks Emily married Edgar for his title, his money and the security he can give her. And when Edgar approaches him with a very unusual request Angus questions his master's motives. Still, it doesn't stop him from accepting Callander's terms — it's the only way he can be with Emily, even if only until she conceives.

Deeply in love with Edgar, Emily will do anything he asks of her. But she never suspected he'd ask something like this! Despite Edgar's reassurances she worries that his plan could destroy their marriage rather than strengthen it. And when she makes her choice, Emily wonders if there's room enough for two men in her heart — and in her bed."

Ellora's Cave Author's Blurb:
"Kate Poole always thought she knew what she wanted to be when she grew up - a nurse. She did that for a long time. Then she got interested in the law, so she became a nurse-paralegal for a law firm in Baltimore City. She has been doing that for a long time, too.

About eleven years ago, Kate found out she could put words, sentences, paragraphs, and pages together to tell a story, and now it's on to Career #3. It took her much longer to complete a novel than it did to get her college degrees!

Kate lives in Maryland with two of the sweetest cats that ever wore fur. And she wants her ashes scattered on the Isle of Skye... with a kilted piper in attendance, of course."

  1. Oh! I would love to be a princess in the renaissance period! But only for a week. I am too used to my privileges as a woman in the 21st century.

I'm a follower & I've added your contest to tomorrow's blog post and my contest side bar as 6/30 • Anchor and Storm @ Book of Secrets.

    Thanks! Miranda

  9. Well I wouldn't have to go very far back to get this one but he's who I've always wanted to meet and fall in love with, but I had already met my husband at 16 and fell in love with him, but I'd like to go back to 16 or 17 and meet Luke Perry. He's been my biggest crush since 90210 first aired.

I wouldn't go back in time, I'd go forward. I'd love to go maybe 200 years in the future and see if the world was like Star Trek, or if it was a dystopian mess. Of course, if the latter were true, one week might be a bit too long to spend there....

  15. If you could spend a week in another time & place, when/where would it be? Oh there are so many periods I would love to see and experience! Ancient Rome, then Scotland in the 1700s but what I would like the most is be a lady in the 19th century in either England or France.

  16. This is quite hard for me. There's no historical figure I really want to meet or time I'd like to see.

I think I'd most like to see my grandmother again, so I'd go back 37 years and be ten again for a week.
