Sunday Post (10th Edition)

Trick or Treat!
As you can see, my cauldron of Halloween candy for the trick-or-treaters is disappearing fast. A week ago, it was full, and I've actually added more to it since then. Ha! What can I say? I have no will power October through December. Are you ready for Halloween?

There are several blog hops going on right now, and I'd like to highlight one that I just discovered yesterday. It's The Literary Blog Hop hosted by Judith @ Leeswammes' Blog. I've discovered some great new-to-me blogs, and there are plenty of bookish prizes up for grabs. Check it out!

New arrivals this week:
  • The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty (Checked out from the library - I'm so excited to get this one! I've always had a fascination with Louise Brooks and the actors from 1920s Hollywood. This one is getting moved to the top of my TBR pile.)
  • The Medium by C.J. Archer (Kindle Freebie)
  • In the Shadow of Lions: A Novel of Anne Boleyn by Ginger Garrett (Kindle Freebie)
What are your plans this week? Can you believe November is just days away?

  1. Hi Diana,

I like your selection of new books this week, they are all so diverse in genre and there are some excellent cover images also, although I think that my favourite image comes from 'The Chaperone'.

I can't say that I shall be rushing to add any of them to my reading list, although I read from such a diverse range of genres, that if they landed in my mailbox, I would certainly schedule them all into my reading.

Your bucket of sweets looks very tempting, I can see just how your willpower deserts you!

    Thanks for sharing,

    Yvonne

  7. We don't buy Halloween candy until a couple of days before because we can't leave it alone! It is supposed to be terrible weather here for Trick or Treat. Ginger Garrett's books are always so good.

  8. I saw quite a few types of candy that I'd love to have. And will be making a few stops for the after Halloween mark down :)
And hoping that Sandy won't hit us like they are predicting.
    Stay safe all

  9. Great haul! I have heard that The Chaperone is really good.

I had to hide our Halloween candy so that I don't get into it before Wednesday. If I didn't, it would be gone!

  17. I am ready for Trick or Treat and have been dipping into the candy stash as well.

Our Halloween Night has been postponed because of Hurricane Sandy, though. Not sure when it will be.

I like THE CHAPERONE...looks good...enjoy them all and your candy. :)
